Building on its successful training for Independent Sexual Violence Advisors and ISVA Service Managers, and in response to calls for more in-depth training for working with male victims, The Survivors Trust has now collaborated with leading UK experts to develop a one day workshop specifically aimed at developing effective practice for ISVAs supporting male victims of sexual violence and abuse.

 

The workshop has been designed to enable ISVA practitioners to develop their knowledge and understanding of the issues male victims face in disclosing sexual trauma, seeking effective support and gaining access to justice processes.

Available Workshop dates:

13th September 2012 and 16th November 2012

Victim to offender – challenging myths/creating understanding

 

Sexual Violence and Abuse Risk and Needs Assessment

 

Effective professional practice and boundaries

 

Managing referrals – health, welfare, counselling
